COVID-19 UPDATES

Please note NYC Pilates is physically open!

We are going above and beyond what is required to keep the studio, our instructors and clients safe. To this end, we are:

  1. Adhering to all CDC, NY sate and NYC safety guidelines, and more!

  2. No longer offer group classes at the studio, at least until there is a vaccine for Covid-19.

  3. Are limiting sessions to two private sessions at a time, well below the 33.3% capacity that we are allowed!. (We have moved the equipment around so everyone is 12 feet apart from other teachers and clients who are in the studio at the same time

  4. Use ultraviolet lights to disinfectant the studio at night, on top of using hospital grade disinfectant to clean the studio through each day, in between and before and after clients, and have two hospital grade air purifiers.

  5. Ask that all clients and instructors to wear socks

  6. Require all clients to wait outside until their instructor calls them in for their session

  7. Require all clients to remove their shoes before entering the studio

  8. Require all clients to have their temperature taken with a non-touch thermometer, upon entering the studio

  9. Require all clients and teachers to wash their hands upon entering the studio

  10. Stagger when clients can enter the studio to prevent crowding in the entrance and waiting area

  11. Limit all Pilates sessions to 50 minutes to ensure we can stagger the coming and going of people, as well as provide sufficient time to clean the equipment in between clients

  12. Ask all Pilates teachers and clients to stay home if they have a fever, cough, runny nose, have lost their sense of taste or smell, or are otherwise feeling under the weather

  13. Provide all clients and instructors with a bucket to bring to and from the restroom with disinfectant spray

  14. Give clients the option of using their own small towels, a personal water bottle, their own straps for the leg springs, as well as their own small props, and bringing their own yoga mats, to place in top of our equipment

  15. Ask all instructors and clients to wear masks while in the studio

Please contact Randi Stone, Owner of NYC Pilates, Randi@nyc-pilates.com,  if you have any questions pertaining to our sanitation and safety practices.
