Randi studied with Romana Kryzanowska, protégé of Joseph Pilates; Sue Hitzman, founder of the MELT Method; and Julie Tupler, creator of Diastasis Rehab. She is also certified in Power Pilates mat and is a pelvic floor guru. Randi trains all body types and caters to people with varied interests – men and women who want to increase their flexibility, people who want to strengthen and lengthen their muscles for a longer and leaner look, people recovering from injuries, new mothers seeking to reach their potential, and athletes looking to improve sports performance and prevent injury. Randi’s clients range from professional athletes and sports team trainers to Broadway dancers to pre and post-natal women to people recuperating from injuries and trauma, like strokes. Pilates also keeps Randi herself fit so she can keep up with her teenage twins!
Diarra Cummings began teaching the Pilates method in 2008, following a career as a professional dancer touring with classical ballet and modern dance companies in the U.S. While earning a B.A. from The School of General Studies at Columbia University, Diarra completed her teacher training through Lawson Harris at The Fitness Guru Teaching Lab Pilates Apparatus Certification and her pre/post natal certification through Brigitte Arle at Little Bridge Pilates. Incorporating traditional and contemporary Pilates exercises, Diarra’s teaching emphasizes a conscious approach to movement with a focus on correct alignment and efficient biomechanics in a judgment free and supportive learning environment. Diarra strongly believes in the transformative power the mind has over the body and roots her teaching in the belief that physical heath and awareness are essential to reaching one’s optimum potential.
Diarra teaches Open Level Tower 9:00-9:50am and 7:00-7:50pm on Mondays and at 9:30am on Wednesdays.
Certified by the Kane School of Core Integration, Mary has been teaching Pilates for 13 years. From private clients to group classes and machine classes to mat classes, Mary does it all! As a certified Pre-natal Pilates teacher, she particularly enjoys working with pregnant women. In her instruction, Mary uses a unique yet well-reputed technique of structuring her classes through an early stress on the core principals and then a build-up in strength to advance toward more complex, focused work. At NYC Pilates, Mary combines the best of Pilates with the best of dance in her hybrid Tower-Barre class, which consists of 30 minutes of Pilates Tower work followed by 20 minutes of barre work.
On Tuesdays, Mary teaches Pilates Barre-Tower @ 12:00 pm and 7:00 p, as well as an Open Level Tower Class @ 5:30 pm.

A native Texan, Gabriela moved to NYC in 2000 to pursue her love of dance. Upon arriving in New York, she received her certification in Authentic Pilates through The Pilates Studio of NYC under the tutelage of the late Romana Kryzanowska, Sari Mejia Santo, Daria Pace and Bob Liekens. She has taught dance and body conditioning throughout the NYC area, and has trained some of the city’s finest – including members of The Today Show, Saturday Night Live, Sex and the City, Arista Records, and Elektra Entertainment. In 2004, she earned her certification in Classical Pilates through Power Pilates NYC, and was instrumental in their collaboration with Pilates Wellness and Energy in Madrid and Marbella, Spain. Gabriela has also been of service at Women in Need, Pilates4Pink, Cycle for Survival, St. Luke’s Hospital, and The Bowery Mission.
Gabriela teaches Open Level Tower 10:00 and 11:00 am on Saturdays.
In 2008, Liz completed 600+ hours of certification training with Romana’s Pilates at True Pilates in New York. In 2011, she graduated from NYU as an Honors Scholar with a BA in “Healing the Whole Person”. In 2014, she was among the first to complete Advanced Pilates Teacher Training and Certification with Kathi Ross-Nash. In 2016, Liz founded Built Pilates Inc. to launch her private practice in Manhattan. In 2018, she was certified in ELDOA Level 1&2, a method of spinal decompression exercises and myofascial stretching invented by Dr. Guy Voyer, DO. Liz’s mission is to bring the incredible results of Pilates to you. Over the last decade, Liz has traveled the world to train with internationally renowned Pilates teachers the UK, Europe and South America. She continues to study new Pilates techniques and supplemental methods like ELDOA to further her education and bring the benefits of Pilates to her clients every day.
